Two weeks ahead of METSTRADE, hidden panel fastening manufacturer Fastmount has announced the launch of a new product in the Stratlock Range, the SL-SF15A.
The new SL-SF15A builds on the Stratlock Range, which was designed in collaboration with Poliform Contract Italy and launched in May 2019 to enable flexible installation yet extremely secure panel mounting to aluminium framework on walls and ceilings.
Combining the flexible load chassis and the dual indent mechanism of the Stratlock Range clips, the SL-SF15A expands the types of substrates that can be used with the Range. It was developed without the ‘fitting pegs’ that would usually clip into the aluminium framework, making this clip ideal for screwing directly onto any type of flat-surface substrate.
The clip creates flexibility in a process that is typically reliant on extreme precision. The installer can fit the female and male clips, and know that the load chassis in the SL-SF15A will give them 10mm of movement to position the panel with the support of the first step of the dual indent male, before clicking into its final position with a 15kg pull out load.
“Trends in interior yacht construction over the last couple of years have meant that the Stratlock Range has been received well by installers seeking efficiency in their construction methods, looking for a product to use with aluminium framework on deckheads, but also wanting something that could be attached to other framework types – the SL-SF15A solves that,” comments Gregg Kelly, Managing Director of Fastmount.
The clip is compatible with the SL-M15, and will be available from Fastmount distributors worldwide after METSTRADE, 19-21 November, where Fastmount will have an interactive stand at #02.224 in the New Zealand Pavilion.
