Fastmount clips can be successfully used with fiberglass and many other non-traditional materials. The system’s versatility has been proven in marine and RV industries where fiberglass applications are common.
For fiberglass installations with the PC-F1A clip, it is recommended you use the CT-15 Thread Tap to create a thread in the hole, and the CT-12 to create a countersink to the entrance edge, which helps the clip screw in neatly.
Each material requires evaluation of its specific properties and appropriate installation techniques. For materials where mechanical fasteners are not suitable, Fastmount’s adhesive-fix clips provide an alternative attachment method.
