Fastmount clips were used during an extensive refit of the 48m Trinity superyacht Mirabella, allowing new ceiling panels to maintain the yacht’s refined interior finish while providing straightforward access behind.
Originally delivered by Trinity Yachts in 2004, Mirabella underwent an extensive eight-and-a-half-month refit at Reviva Refit, the refit division of Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay. Known internally as Project R15, the programme covered paintwork, electrical systems, joinery, structural modifications and major changes to the yacht’s exterior and interior areas.
As part of the interior refurbishment, ceiling panels on the main deck and bridge deck aft were replaced using Fastmount.
A major yacht refit needs to balance the quality of the finished interior with ongoing access to the systems concealed behind it.
This was particularly relevant aboard Mirabella, where the refit included substantial upgrades to electrical and electronic infrastructure, audiovisual equipment, bridge electronics and interior lighting. At the same time, the project sought to retain the character of the yacht’s original Scott Carpenter-designed interior.
By mounting the panels with concealed, removable fixings rather than permanent fasteners, the installation provides easier access behind the ceiling while preserving the clean finish required within Mirabella’s interior.
