Our French distribution partner, Domarine, along with sub-distributor Foussier and interior design company Lindera, collaborated on a remarkable project to design and create two custom chandeliers for the AKENA Hotel in Serris, France. The challenge was to design and install two large-scale chandeliers, each featuring 500 wooden slats secured around a metal hoop, while ensuring efficient transport and rapid assembly on-site.
The Fastmount Solution Lindera selected for this project was from the Very Low Profile range (VL-M3 + VL-F3), recognizing the benefits our panel mounting system could bring:
- Ease of Transport: The wooden slats were pre-installed with Fastmount clips in the workshop, allowing the chandeliers to be shipped as flat-pack kits. This approach streamlined logistics, minimized transportation costs, and reduced the risk of damage during transit.
- Quick Assembly: Upon arrival at the AKENA hotel, the chandeliers were rapidly assembled on-site, thanks to the efficiency of installation. Each slat was fitted with two pairs of clips, ensuring a secure yet completely hidden attachment.
- Flawless Aesthetics: The VL clips provided an invisible, removable fastening solution without compromising strength, maintaining a sleek and seamless look that enhances the hotel’s ambiance.
By leveraging Fastmount’s mounting system, Lindera successfully addressed the contractor’s logistical and installation challenges. The chandeliers were delivered in kit form and assembled swiftly on-site, ensuring the project was completed efficiently and on schedule. The end result is an elegant, high-end lighting feature that contributes to the luxurious experience of AKENA hotel guests.
