Connect Acoustics used Fastmount’s VL-PF3 clip to install upholstered acoustic panels for a commercial office project in Brisbane, Australia.
The panels were designed to function as both pin boards and acoustic absorption, requiring a clean, secure installation with no visible fixings.
Because the panels were smaller than typical floor-to-ceiling acoustic panels, Connect Acoustics used Fastmount centre markers instead of templates to position the male clips. The panels were also CNC-routed with 25 mm holes, helping speed up the installation process.
The VL-PF3 provided a hidden, mechanical fixing without the need for adhesives, supporting easy removal and improved recyclability at end of life.
Nathan from Connect Acoustics said the clips “performed perfectly,” with the client “over the moon with the results.”
The result was a clean, removable acoustic panel installation that delivered on finish, performance, and sustainability.
